DanceSport Team Cebu City (DTCC) organized a donation drive to support fellow DanceSport coaches and athletes who were affected by the recent earthquake in Bogo and San Remigio. On October 1, volunteers headed by Mr. Bernard Ricablanca packed essential items, and by October 2, the donations were delivered with care and solidarity.

This initiative was more than just a response to a crisis—it was a testament to the unwavering bond that defines the DanceSport community.

Commissioner Edward Hayco of the Philippine Sports Commission shared, “In DanceSport, it may seem like we’re competing against each other—but we shouldn’t be. We should be helping one another. Don’t be obsessed with winning; be obsessed with friendship. That’s what DanceSport has been about for the past 25 years: we help each other win.”

DanceSport has always been more than medals and competitions. It’s about forging friendships, building families, and lifting each other—on and off the dance floor. In times of need, dancers do not stand alone. Through this act of generosity, DanceSport Team Cebu City reminds us all that the true essence of dancing lies in connection, empathy, and shared strength.

To those affected, the community stands with you. And to those who gave, your kindness echoes louder than any applause.
